A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM CAROI HOLMES-KNRTZ:

Dear neighbors and travelers: My name is Caroi Holmes-Knrtz. My family has lived along the Fruit Ridge in Sparta for generations. Some of you might remember my name appearing all the way back in the March 1942 Sentinel-Leader (Page 4).

The truth is, Sparkie is not an ordinary farm cat. He is a trans-dimensional creature who drifts between centuries, choosing when and where to manifest. Whenever he arrives, he brings calm, crossed paws, and a faint electric ozone aroma that makes hair stand on end.

On the evening of March 13, 2001, Sparkie was napping beneath the quilt in my guest room. At 8:14 PM, my kitchen wall clock began spinning backward at high velocity. When I went to check on him, only his blanket was left, folded into an impossible origami shape.

I have built this site so the people of Sparta, Kent County, and across the web can log their encounters. Please review the Photographic Archive and check the Chronological History.
